Next, you'll visit the Agua Clara locks, part of the Panama Canal Expansion project. Here, you’ll have the chance to observe supertankers and large cargo ships transiting the new locks, providing a unique perspective on this engineering marvel. You’ll spend about 45 minutes learning about the Canal's expansion and its impact on global trade.
The tour begins with convenient hotel pick-up from Panama City, followed by a scenic 1.5-hour minibus ride to Colón. There, you'll board a 20-minute ferry across the rainforest, which will be followed by additional minibus travel through the lush surroundings. Expect plenty of stops along the way to observe and photograph the rich wildlife.
After exploring the San Lorenzo Fort and the Canal expansion, you will be taken back to your hotel.
