The shore excursion CL1 begins with an exploration of our world-famous rainforest, where your guide will explain the vital importance of this ecosystem in providing the planet's oxygen supply and its role in global weather patterns. You’ll have the chance to observe one of the most diverse bird populations in the world. Panama is home to 159 species of mammals, 98 species of reptiles, and 65 amphibian species, including ocelots, sloths, armadillos, pumas, anteaters, spider monkeys, howler monkeys, deer, caimans, crocodiles, and many snakes. This rainforest is an ecological paradise not to be missed, with plenty of stops for photo opportunities!
Next, your excursion continues to the ruins of San Lorenzo Fort, renowned for successfully repelling attacks from Caribbean pirates for nearly 75 years. Then, we will visit the new Canal Expansion at Aguas Claras, where you can observe the operation of the new canal system as supertankers and large cargo ships transit the new locks, each carrying over 7,000 containers.

TRANSPORTATION: For group tours, we use minibuses with a capacity of 23 passengers per group. For private tours, we use a van with a capacity of 9 passengers or a minibus with a capacity of 23 depending on the size of your party Also, our company has a motorcoach in case you are coming with a large group.
MEETING PLACE: The meeting place is Colon 2000 dock, between the escalator and Fantastic Casino, in our video clip you will see accurate pictures of the place, our guide will use a company T-shirt and hold a sign with ALMIZA TOURS printed on it.
